Workiro, the document management platform for accounting and professional-services firms, today announced that its Xero Practice Manager (XPM) integration has been certified by Xero.
Certification is Xero’s own review gate. Xero assesses it against its technical, security and support standards, so a certified badge tells a firm the connection has been checked by Xero itself, not just claimed by the vendor.
For accountants, the integration solves a familiar gap. Xero Practice Manager is excellent at planning and tracking jobs, but it doesn’t capture the evidence behind them - the emails sit in personal inboxes, signed documents get saved to local drives, and the client file gets pieced together under pressure at year end. With Workiro connected, clients, contacts and jobs sync automatically, and every document, email and approval files itself against the right job. The team keeps working in Xero as normal while a complete, audit-ready client file builds in the background.
Ben Symons, director at Serenity Accounting & Bookkeeping, moved his practice onto exactly this pairing. “I wanted to lessen my tech stack - now I’m only using Workiro and Xero, nothing else,” he said. Serenity has since cut its Xero Practice Manager admin time by around half, worth more than £40,000 a year in reclaimed time.
Dave Owen, President of Workiro, said: “Firms don’t switch document systems unless the tools they already run actually connect. Certification means an XPM firm doesn’t have to take our word for that, Xero has reviewed the integration against its own standards. That matters to an accountant whose whole practice runs through Xero.”
